Bio

One of the best memories I have of my childhood is of growing up in a house in the middle of nature, in the center of the island of Ibiza.

I spent all my childhood dreaming about becoming a professional piano player, and when I wasn’t practicing, the best place to be was outside the house. I remember spending hours with my brothers and sisters playing at making holes in the ground, filling them with water, adding sand, and with this mixture we made bowls and shapes that we left to dry in the sun. This constant connection with nature and its creative possibilities made me decide to study sculpture at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Valencia. There I discovered the beauty of the materials and I experimented with all the ones I could (bronze, wood, iron, stone, synthetic materials, plaster, fabric...).

When I finished my degree I moved to Barcelona, where I shared a workshop with other artists in the Raval of Barcelona where we had individual and collective exhibitions and other cultural events.

Another of my passions is teaching and after studying a Master in art and education at the UB I enjoyed for seven years to teach Visual and Visual Arts and Volume for primary school teachers at the Faculty of Education of the University of Barcelona while I was studying a second Master in university teaching.

For some years now I have been living in Breda, a village with a ceramic tradition at the foot of the Montseny. Here I have been able to settle in a large workshop where I have decided to dedicate myself full time to sculpture and to deepen in the possibilities of ceramic sculpture. Last year I have been invited to Japan for a two months residency to create new work for an exhibition, this was a transformative experience and has made me see the importance of living and sharing experiences in other places to expand and enrich my creative processes.
